Shrimp Tacos Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Juice of 1 lime
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
Citrus Slaw:
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 orange, segmented and chopped
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare slaw: Toss cabbage, carrots, cilantro, orange, mayo, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Chill.
- Cook shrimp: Toss shrimp with oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and lime juice. Sauté in a skillet over medium-high heat until pink, 2-3 minutes per side.
- Assemble: Fill tortillas with shrimp and slaw. Serve immediately.
Variations
- Add sliced avocado or pickled onions.
- Use grilled fish instead of shrimp.
