Shrimp Tacos Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas

Citrus Slaw:

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 orange, segmented and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare slaw: Toss cabbage, carrots, cilantro, orange, mayo, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Chill.
  2. Cook shrimp: Toss shrimp with oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and lime juice. Sauté in a skillet over medium-high heat until pink, 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Assemble: Fill tortillas with shrimp and slaw. Serve immediately.

Variations

  • Add sliced avocado or pickled onions.
  • Use grilled fish instead of shrimp.
