Oyster Stew Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint fresh oysters (with liquor)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper
  • Hot sauce (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Sauté onion: Cook onion in butter until soft.
  2. Simmer: Add milk and cream. Heat gently (do not boil).
  3. Add oysters: Stir in oysters and their liquor. Cook until edges curl.
  4. Season & serve: Season with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Garnish with parsley.
